Torenia can be easily cultivated in temperate areas. It loves hot and humid weather and grows well in semi-shaded locations. Torenia plants stand 8-12 inches high and bush out 6 inches wide. Torenias grow well with plants for impatiens and ferns. In clusters of three or more, they look beautiful when grown in woodland bows, rock gardens, borders, pots, and along paths or walkways.
Light requirement: morning sun and afternoon shade. If you live in a climate that has hot summers, pick a fairly shady location for your plants.
Soil requirement: These flowers prefer organically rich, loamy soil with a slightly acidic to neutral soil pH.
Water requirement: Wishbone flowers have moderate water needs. Water whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, but make sure your plants aren't sitting in soggy soil.
